This collagraph print was created from a wood plate with cardstock paper, paper towel, and glue attached and covered in layers of varnish to seal it. It depicts a fish trapped in a plastic jug floating in the ocean, separated from its school of fish. This print suggests that part of saving the world requires taking care of the ocean to preserve marine life. I wanted to juxtapose the text on the print, which might be more commonly associated with superheroes, with an image of an issue that can be at least partially resolved with the help of each one of us.
